About us
Pyramid Systems Malton Ltd was established in 1973 by local farmer Geoff Thompson, who initially built a small factory on Showfield Lane to manufacture pig farming buildings. As the business grew, so did the site—expanding to include additional manufacturing, warehousing, and builders' yard space. In the late 1990s, the pig building business was sold, but the land was retained and redeveloped for commercial let. Additional land at the end of Showfield Lane was acquired, and the Pyramid Estate was created, with purpose-built units for tenants like Howdens and Watermark—both of whom are still with us today.
Today, although Geoff is now retired, he still lives locally and is always happy to lend a hand on site when needed—his in depth knowledge of the place comes in useful time and again. The estate is now managed by his daughter, Kay, and continues to be run as a family business with our tenants at the heart of everything we do. We know all our tenants personally and take pride in being approachable, responsive, and easy to deal with. We're committed to providing high-quality space that helps local and regional businesses grow, and we’re proud of the role we play in supporting the wider community and economy.
